The following are just a few of the testimonial's shared by our member's on the power of raw!
Here's my story if you get to the end as its a long 1!!!... 1 of our girls who we added to our pack about 9months ago... shes 2 yrs old and when we first got her she was sweet but within weeks I found out all her bad habits and maybe the reasons she was re homed 😓so to start with she was a massive poo eater...desperate for it. Would eat it as it was coming out of the other dogs. Would search high and low for any bits I'd missed. She wouldn't play with the others as she was too interested in finding poo. She also uses to go crazy when she knew I was feeding them. Would bark howl cry whine jump up pace in and out and as soon as food hit the floor she would eat like shed never been fed...it would fling out the bowl she would puke it back up whole biscuits re eat them. It was a nightmare. I bought slow feeder bowls which helped slightly but still wasn't great. She would also have serious black diarrhea all the time. Wake up to loads of it every morn. So there was me with a dog that used to stress me out with all these 'bad habit's tried muzzles so she didn't eat poo I changed food 4 times. I added protein I gave less protein I gave smaller and more portions I gave bigger portions and fed her as much as she could possibly eat but still nothing changed. I was very very close on giving up on her but I just knew in my heart I couldn't and that she would be passed around as no1 would put up with this. I used to dred feeding time. I was a possessive poo picker. She was a possessive poo eater. I put her on sensitive kibble and it helped slightly. She was just dull thin and a very sad dog and I was a sad owner having tried everything....until I switched to raw and wow what a transformation. Shes now one of my favorite dogs I have (13 in total) shes put on so much weight shes happy she plays with the other dogs and she don't touch poo ever. Not even sniffs it. Shes a totally diff dog and I'm so so so pleased I never gave up on her as it wasn't her fault and it wasn't bad habits. It was an upset belly that felt hungry. Now when I feed them she still has a whine because shes excited but she doesn't snatch she doesn't throw her food everywhere shes actually the most gentle of them all now and will happily sit and wait for a treat and even be last. She would never take food off the others and shes just a true beautiful girl. Basically what I'm trying to say if you've got this far down lol that raw feeding was the best step I ever took for my babies 🐶🐶🐶
My collie is nearly fifteen and for the last 12 months has been suffering from incontinence not only with wetting but very loose poo no matter what I feed, since I have been feeding raw for the last 2/3 months she is now incontinence free she is on no meds whatsoever and we have one hard poo every day not 6/8 puddles of it! No wetting and now is able to have the run of the house again 😊
I just so can't believe that a raw diet has helped this problem.
I feel like I have let her down the past 12 months not feeding raw sooner, she is such a great dog and looks very well and nothing like her age but was having her good and bad days now she is on much more of a stable health and very happy xx
Most definitely my number one raw advice group to go to and the only one I recommend to everyone. Lynn and the rest of the admin do an amazing job helping and advising members.
I've raw fed for well over twenty years and even I'm learning new things from the group.
George my 7 month old Staffie boy had a severe bout of gastroenteritis at the beginning of Dec he had blood tests and all manner of antibiotics and blood tests to assess him since as he was really poorly, since he was brought home he'd never really got excited about eating kibble one hard poop a day and 6 runny ones a vicious cycle. 6 weeks ago I decided to go raw. I am over the moon to report for his biochem profile and its in the vets words absolutely fantastic every part of his profile is A1 and in normal range for his age and your raw feeding is doing the best for him and he has been discharged from monthly monitoring !!! I'm ecstatic thanks for your help, advice and support to get us to this point.
2 months 1 week strong. Balding has went away completely and this dog is a completely different pup. I have my Sadie back. She is 7 yrs old and my best friend. Her health seemed bad and then someone had me get connected here. Don't think I'm wired, but I love all of you for all of your information and support. She means EVERYTHING to me, equal to my human children, I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been introduced to raw. Thank you all and Admin so very very much. Success story right here!!!!
Wow, I have to share this because it is unbelievable how much my dog's behavior is changing since on raw. When I first rescued Axel the GSD from the E List he was emaciated, 30 lbs underweight, and after spending 4 days in ICU fighting for his life I had to hand feed him for a couple of months but still he would not be interested in food at all, the vet said he was anorexic (?). He was lethargic and started to bark at dogs and act unruly while on the leash. I switched him to 100% raw last week and since then, he is happy, smiling, filled with energy, he behaves while on the leash and the most important thing of all is that he now loves to EAT!!
To me it's amazing to see his food bowl empty and him begging me to feed him...Thanks guys for having this page, it helped me a lot..
I cannot thank this group enough for opening up my eyes to the benefits of raw. I have a 14 month old French bulldog who was suffering from idiopathic head tremors on a daily basis. Since switching to raw over one month ago we have not seen one since. I know there's no cure and no guarantee but the difference in him is unbelievable that I can't think there isn't some link!
I was a little hesitant to do the switch at first because my dog had a stroke the week I originally wanted to start her on raw. We had no idea if she would recover or if there would be permanent damage. Somehow she completely recovered within 24 hours. One day later I tossed out the kibble and started her on raw.
Since the switch my 14 year old Lucy has become more energetic, is excited about food, started playing with toys again, no more lethargy, her eyes (she has cataracts) look brighter and less cloudy and overall she seems happier and content.
I can't wait to see what else will change. I have my cuddly clown back. She is like a younger version of herself again. I'll take that for as long as she will stick around ❤️
Holy cow! I knew there would be benefits but I never imagined I would see them so quickly! I can already see an improvement in coat, and my picky eater is actually putting on weight (that's been a struggle since we got him). The behavioral changes are mind blowing! We have an older, shy rescue girl we got in July and she is just improving leaps and bounds since the switch! She acts like a new dog!!!!! Shes playing with us and the other dogs now and following me around like the velco dog she should be, its just amazing! I never could have imagined how far reaching the changes would be, and how quickly it would happen!
I know that everybody sings the praises of raw but to be honest I was sceptical. This difference between sully a month ago and now after 3 weeks of raw is incredible. We've successfully introduced 3 proteins which he loves equally. He has so much more muscle, more energy and overall a happier and much healthier dog. He can go for miles without any signs of tiring. At only 9 months old he can only get fitter and healthier. I love him so much ❤️
I just wanted to share my story with all of you out there! I have a 12 year old Westie, my darling baby, who has had Cushings last few years, had arthritis, skin issues and a weight problem. I started her on GP initially which worked wonders, but then started wondering what other natural treatments were out there I had heard good stuff about raw but was too wary to try! Two of your members, Alina Jumabhoy and Sharon S. Lim ( I couldn't have done this without them! )gave me all the advice and encouragement possible and I finally made the switch a month ago. No regrets at all! Her Cushings has improved so much, she has lost weight and is so much leaner and fit now! Her arthritis is a thing of the past, she bounds up stairs without a second thought and her skin issues and even breath have improved amazingly! I am so happy I took the plunge! So if any of you have doubts on starting, don't! Just go for it and ask our awesome group members for advice!
We are having a celebration in our house tonight. Our female Rottie Athena has had high PH levels since we brought her home at 8 weeks. 2 months ago they topped out at over 9, and that was after month of new techniques of getting it down. We were exhausted and felt so bad for her because we know stones were going to be a problem in her future. We tried one last attempt and switched her to RAW against our vets advice. Today, 2 months later she had another urinalysis and she is at a normal 6!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for your support. We are elated and will forever be RAW feeders.
My dog, Kaiser had been having frequent bladder infections and bladder stones. On advice from the vet was eating very expensive vet food. He was losing weight, and had super itchy feet. I knew it wasn't going well and was super concerned. I was at the vets office multiple times. On advice of the groomer I started with a food consult at a local raw food place. Asked for advice here, and switched. I now have a very happy and healthy dog. And a new vet. I am super glad. Thank you all.
